Rest! Oops, did
I just rest for a whole month!? That’s OK. Rest is exactly what I need right
now. I’ve made some big changes in my life and health and rest have become top
priority. That being said. There have been a few handstands and/or inversions
here and there. I’ve been resting a lot and doing a lot of cleansing and
detoxing, but I’ve made a commitment to myself to at least do 30 minutes of
gentle activity every day. Some days that may be as simple as stretching. While
other days it may mean a walk, a swim, or a yoga class. And I’m still teaching
my weekly spin class. Although, I fake it (shh… don’t tell my class). I keep
the resistance on my bike very low so that I can keep my heart rate low. Only
very, very aerobic working out. So, while I’ve rested for about a month, I’ve
been doing all good things for my body, so I’m OK with the extended rest (that
may be the first time in my life I’ve ever said that).
